201 cases reported in Tokyo today. The consistent spread of the virus in Tokyo is a worrying sign. Unless stricter controls are enforced, the situation may deteriorate very rapidly. Meanwhile, the total number of cases in Japan now stands at 9296 (excluding the cases from the Diamond Princess cruise ship).

More than 160 cases reported in Tokyo today. The numbers continue to rise as the Government’s request to cooperate during the state of emergency has seen mixed results so far.

Tokyo has reported another 91 new cases in the last 24 hours. But this drop in number is because fewer tests are conducted towards the end of the week. The mid-week numbers are a better indication of the overall trend.
