Golden-gai, a place in the heart of Tokyo like no other. Narrow lanes, almost 200 old and cramped bars, clubs and eateries. A street photographer’s dream, both during the day and late in the evening! I spent an evening there last year and thought that it would be interesting to see how the place transforms during the day. So today, with an afternoon free, I decided to head out to Golden-gai and walk around the area with my camera. While all the bars in this area are really small and have a dark and shoddy appearance, they are not necessarily cheap. In fact, the place is known to attract wealthy customers and popular Japanese celebrities.
Here are some of the shots from the walk.
